Repair & Addition – 358th Squadron Operation Building
This design/build project consisted of an addition and renovation to the existing 348th Squadron Operation Building located at Davis-Monthan AFB.
The addition consisted of a 2,500 SF secured work area, a 600 SF mechanical room and a 300 SF vestibule. The renovation required the demolition of all interior finishes, both secured and non-secured telecommunication, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, and removal of four load bearing interior columns and installation of a secured communications system to service the 10 new secured briefing rooms and a new antenna mast for UHF communications with the squadrons’ aircraft. Interior architectural renovation consisted of all new interior steel stud walls, new ceilings, floor, doors, restroom fixtures, bathroom partitions and accessories, custom squadron logos inset into both ceramic flooring and sheet vinyl and custom fabricated flight lockers. . Exterior renovation included a new mechanical yard constructed to meet current ATFP standards, all new landscaping, curb and gutters, sidewalks with lighted walkway bollards, and parking lots.
